Magritte Museum
All participants are cordially invited to a private visit of the «Magritte Museum» followed by the 50th Anniversary Dinner (with the support of BNP Paribas Fortis) on 15 March 2012.
The Magritte Museum, located at the Place Royale in the very heart of Brussels, displays the works of the surrealist artist. This collection of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium was made possible through purchases as well as by the legacies of Irène Hamoir- Scutenaire and Georgette Magritte. Many private collectors and public and private institutions have also contributed to the Magritte Museum project by lending their masterpieces.
This multidisciplinary collection contains more than 200 works consisting of oils on canvas, gouaches, drawings, sculptures, painted objects, advertising posters, music scores, vintage photographs, as well as films produced by Magritte himself, all of which make this the richest Magritte collection in the world. We are sure you will enjoy this unique opportunity to dine among the works of this noted artist.
