Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC)
March 12, 2015 - March 14, 2015
Venue: St.Gallen, Switzerland
In advanced prostate cancer the rapid and successful drug development has led to a new situation, where several treatment options are available and careful decision making is needed for individual patients. Clinicians face the increasingly difficult task to choose from treatments that are effective, however also costly and potentially harmful.
The aims of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC) are:
- To discuss the current standard of advanced prostate cancer management.
- To facilitate and encourage collaboration on clinical and translational research projects. During the meeting a platform will be provided to enable discussion and initiation of clinical trials in advanced prostate cancer.
- The program will consist entirely of invited lectures, debates and discussions led by international and interdisciplinary prostate cancer experts.
- The Consensus Conference will end with an interdisciplinary expert consensus panel that will discuss and vote on predefined questions on regarding the optimal treatment of advanced prostate cancer. The recommendations by the panel will be submitted for publication shortly after the meeting.
