EUnetCCC symposium : Innovating Cancer Care Through De-escalation Studies

Amsterdam, Netherlands

A two‑day on‑site symposium on cancer treatment de‑escalation will take place on 5–6 March 2026 at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) in Amsterdam. Organized by the Task for Cancer Research within EUnetCCC, the event will gather up to 200 participants, including clinicians, researchers, policy makers, bioinformaticians, healthcare professionals, patient representatives, and industry stakeholders.

Participation is free of charge, though attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation. Registration opens on 1 December 2025 and closes on 1 February 2026.

The program will explore key topics such as evolving paradigms in cancer de‑escalation trials, communicating “less can be more” to patients, biomarker‑driven treatment reduction, early discontinuation of immunotherapy, and practical strategies for designing and implementing de‑escalation studies.
