P-Value Workshop

Help us shape the next 100 years of statistical practice at EORTC. 

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the p-value, EORTC is championing a new era of statistical rigor in oncology. 

Biostatistics is vital—as demonstrated by its role in the COVID-19 pandemic—but the field must evolve beyond the simple p-value rule. Following a focused expert workshop on 30 September 2025, we are ready to present solutions. 

Join the EORTC community on 9 December for a critical meeting to discuss: 

• The proper use and limitations of p-values.
• How to better communicate uncertainty.
• Establishing new standards for data interpretation.

This event aims to reach an agreement on new guidelines for a more nuanced and meaningful definition of 'scientific proof.' Your input is essential as we set the standard for evidence-based research.
