On 30 & 31 October 2024, EORTC organises a training course aiming to provide you with a stimulating and challenging experience leading to a much better understanding of cancer research.

A two-day training course for cancer patients, caregivers, and patient advocates

The course will be conducted in English and is aimed for cancer patients, caregivers of cancer patients, family members, patient advocates, and patient representatives.

Wednesday, 30 October 2024

After learning more about the formation of cancer cells, you will have an opportunity to look into the work of pathologist. The second session will unravel the approaches of different specialists to cancer treatment, including the quality of life aspects.

Thursday, 31 October 2024

Day 2 will give you insights into the concepts of randomisation and blinding. Real-world data and HTA sessions will be followed by a panel discussion of patient advocates and patient organisations.

Programme Committee

The EORTC Patient Days Programme Committee is composed of experienced patient advocates whose mission is to encourage education for cancer patients and their family members, as well as to increase public awareness and understanding of clinical research.
In this role, the Committee members were supported by the EORTC HQ staff members and directors.

Leading oncologists and researchers from different European countries will share their expertise and experience in cancer treatments and research and offer their insights on the impact of lifestyle on cancer. In an interactive session, patient partners will provide views on the role of patient organizations as key stakeholders in oncology research.
