EORTC Quality of Life Group Spring Meeting

March 30, 2023 - March 31, 2023

Halle, Germany

The EORTC Quality of Life Group Spring Meeting will be held in Halle (Saale), Germany on 30 & 31 March. The meeting will be hosted at the University square with Löwengebäude and the Melanchtonianum. It is only open to individual or site staff members of the group. The link to register was sent by email. Please click here for the draft programme.

In the meantime, please find below already travel and accommodation information:

Location

Halle (Saale) – please do not mix up with Halle (Westfalen) – is easily reached by plane via Berlin or Leipzig/Halle Airport with connecting flights available from international locations and overseas via Munich or Frankfurt.

Train connections

Fast train connections are available from international airports in Munich or Frankfurt and large towns e.g. in France and the Netherlands.

  • From Berlin (BER): train station is at the airport. You can take the train to Berlin Südkreuz (approximately 20 min.) then the fast train to Halle (approximately 1h)
  • From from Leipzig/Halle airport: train station is at the airport. There are frequent connections, at least 2 trains per hour. The journey to Halle takes approximately 10 min.

 

Accommodation

Please book early, as there is a large IT conference at the same time as the QLG meeting.

A few suggestions for hotels:

 

In addition, we have reserved 75 rooms for the EORTC spring meeting at the B&B Hotel Halle and the City Hotel Am Wasserturm (please see below). These hotels are close to the conference venue and offer a limited number of rooms at guaranteed rates. Bookings must be made directly with these hotels and rooms are sold on a first-come first-served basis.

  • B&B Hotel Halle (7 min. walk to the meeting venue)
    Classic Room for Single Use: from EUR 65 per night, breakfast EUR 10.50
    Classic Double Room for Double Use: EUR 75 per room per night, breakfast EUR 10.50
